The Philadelphia 76ers are confident about re-signing restricted free agent Quentin Grimes, according to The Athletic's Tony Jones.

In the latest column by Tony Jones of The Athletic, he speaks about Grimes and where things stand with Philadelphia with the expectation from the team that they will retain the guard. Even going far as to say that the team “splashed cold water on potential sign-and-trade scenarios.”

Grimes went to the Philadelphia 76ers in a deal for Caleb Martin, and completely outplayed Martin in the second half of last year. He was one of the better guards in the league, averaging 21.9 points in his 28 games with the 76ers.
