A community is mourning the loss of Muthoni Nduthu, a 52-year-old registered nurse who was killed in the Dec. 23 explosion at Bristol

Muthoni Nduthu, 52, a mother of three and a certified nursing assistant, was found dead inside Silver Lake Nursing Home, also know as Bristol Health & Rehab Center on Dec. 23. Winik could not say where she was found or what she was doing before the blast.

Officials have identified one of the two victims killed in a Bucks County, Pa., nursing home explosion that also left about 19 people hospitalized.

A fire was reported at Silver Lake Healthcare Center on Dec. 23 with some nearby residents saying they heard an explosion and felt their homes shake.

Emergency services responded to an explosion at a nursing home in Bristol Township, with multiple agencies working together to secure the area and ensure safety.
