Chloe Kelly has launched a scathing attack on Manchester City and claimed the club are trying to “assassinate her character” after she sealed a dramatic deadline day loan move to Arsenal.

Manchester City winger Chloe Kelly has said she “accepts her future is not at this club” beyond the expiration of her contract in June and said her mental wellbeing has been adversely impacted after being “dictated to whom I can and can’t join”.

Kelly started her career with the Gunners, making her debut aged 17 in 2015 and going onto make 16 appearances, scoring five goals, and now returns to North London on a deal until the end of the season.
