The NASCAR Cup Series concludes the regular season with the Coke Zero Sugar 400 on Aug. 23 at Daytona, with two playoff spots still available. Tyler Reddick and Alex Bowman are in position to take those two spots if there is no new winner.

Ryan Blaney — He went from 13th to first in the final two laps to win. He gained five playoff points for the victory. By vaulting from fifth to second in the season standings at the end of the regular season, he gained four additional playoff points. So, he scored nine playoff points Saturday night. A big night for Blaney.

Currently, Tyler Reddick and Alex Bowman hold the 15th and 16th positions in NCS points. Bowman, who had a fairly solid run at Richmond, sits 60 points ahead of Chris Buescher for the last playoff spot. Ryan Preece enters Saturday night 94 points back of
