San Diego-based fast-food chain Jack in the Box announced Monday the resignation of Chief Executive Officer Darin Harris, who is leaving for a role outside the restaurant industry.

Fast-food restaurant chain Jack in the Box said on Monday its CEO, Darin Harris, is stepping down but will remain as a consultant through March 14.

Darin Harris has taken a position outside of the restaurant industry, and EVP and CFO Lance Tucker will temporarily assume CEO duties.
