Police hosted a disorganized press conference there hours later, but revealed minimal details about the slaying — and did not even identify Reiner and his wife as the victims.

The night before Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead in their Los Angeles home Sunday afternoon, the legendary film director and producer got into a “very loud argument” with their 32-year-old son Nick Reiner at Conan O’Brien’s Christmas party, TMZ is reporting.

In an emergency press conference called tonight by Los Angeles Police Department, Deputy Chief Alan S. Hamilton said the LAPD is currently conducting an ongoing homicide investigation into the two deaths at Rob Reiner’s Brentwood home.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that firefighters responded at 3:38 p.m. to a call for medical aid at the home.
