Last night's NBA Cup semifinal between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs lived up to its billing. Mitch Johnson's team played in a game with true playoff intensity and earned a 111–109 win against the reigning champions.

Following a victory vs. the Thunder in the NBA Cup semifinals, the Spurs may have shown they don't need to trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Beating OKC was a huge win for the Spurs. The Thunder carried a 16-game winning streak into the game, with their last defeat on November 5 against Portland, according to the Associated Press. Spurs star Victor Wembanyama, who received "MVP" chants from the crowd, returned from a 12-game absence with 22 points and nine rebounds.
