The Atlanta Braves put five-time All-Star Ronald Acuña Jr. on the 10-day injured list with right Achilles tendon inflammation Wednesday, though the exact severity of the injury to the slugging outfielder may not be known until additional testing is done.

Acuña left Tuesday's game with Achilles soreness, another blow in a season full of injuries for the battered Braves star.

Acuña exited Tuesday's game in the sixth inning after chasing after a foul ball along the line and a double into the gap by back-to-back batters. He was able to walk off the field under his own power, albeit gingerly, which is nonetheless encouraging. Walking with a significant Achilles injury is pretty much impossible.
