Israeli troops shot and killed at least eight Palestinians near a humanitarian aid distribution center in the Rafah, Gaza, early Saturday.

A U.S.- and Israeli-backed group handing out aid in Gaza said on Friday all its distribution sites were closed until further notice, urging residents to stay away from these venues "for their safety" after a series of deadly shootings.

The organization tasked with delivering food aid in Gaza halted operations at its distribution centers this week following a series of fatal incidents near aid sites, raising urgent questions about how humanitarian assistance can be delivered safely in the weeks ahead.

Three people were transported to the hospital following a shooting outside a Waffle House, the Irving Police Department said. At about 6:15 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to the location in the 2000 block of E. State Highway 356. Officers said three people were hit by gunfire in the parking lot at the business.

Dallas police are turning to surveillance video for answers after seven people were shot in South Dallas Thursday night.

The Sheriff says they found two weapons with high capacity magazines which were intended to shoot up the ceremony.
