Residents in North Alabama will have direct access to Gulf Shores starting May, boosting tourism and local travel options.
More than 1.4 million people have traveled through the airport through Oct. 31, an increase of 6.5%. If the trend continues, the airport will break its record for the third consecutive year.
Starting in May 2026, two new weekly flights will take travelers from Springfield directly to Gulf Shores, Alabama.
