A New York man made the purchase of a lifetime, winning the top prize in the New York Lottery’s Money Match scratch-off game, lottery officials announced. Sergio Morocho of Ossining claimed the $3 million top prize and opted to receive a one-time lump sum payment totaling $1,295,493, after required withholdings, according to officials.

Powerball tickets are $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.

The winning ticket was purchased at Players Cafe, located at 241 Bleecker Street in Manhattan. According to the New York Lottery, the second-prize ticket is worth a guaranteed minimum of $1 million and earns the winner a steady stream of $1,000 every week for the rest of their life.

The New York Lottery on Tuesday announced that one top-prize winning ticket was sold for the Jan. 3 Take 5 evening drawing. The ticket worth $33,521 was sold at Little Lizzie’s, located at 3610 E. Tremont Ave. in the Bronx, lottery officials said.
