LAWRENCE, Kan. — Arkansas baseball coach Dave Van Horn was concerned about the depth of his team’s pitching heading into Sunday’s must-win game against host and No. 15 national seed Kansas at the NCAA Lawrence Regional.

The NCAA College Baseball Regionals continued throughout the weekend as there were 10 players from Hawaii on 7 different teams. Arizona State’s Nu’u Contrades came into Sunday as one of the best hitters in the regionals as he had 3 homeruns.

No. 2 seed Arkansas (40-21, 17-13 SEC) looks to avoid being eliminated in the regional round for the third time in the past four seasons against the No.4 seed Northeastern Huskies (39-21, 22-8 CAA) in the Lawrence Regional.

Norm DeBriyn is the godfather of Arkansas Razorback baseball. DeBriyn handpicked Dave Van Horn to replace him as baseball's head Hog, and in 24 years he's proven he was the right choice. Van Horn has reached the NCAA Tournament 22 times -- the 2020 COVID-19 season was canceled -- and won his 80th postseason game Friday night.

The Arkansas baseball team will begin their NCAA baseball tournament run in the Lawrence Regional at Hoglund Ballpark against Missouri State Friday night at 5:00 p.m. central time.The Razorbacks are on the road to begin the tournament for the first time since 2022.
