The USMNT and Mexico will play two European powerhouses in the last international break before the 2026 World Cup.

But the draw is upon us, or on the way in a matter of hours: 9am Pacific Time, 12pm Eastern Time, 5pm for those of us in the UK. Seven and a half years have passed since the United States, Canada and Mexico were selected as joint hosts for 2026, and now we hit the most crucial moment ahead of kick-off itself on June 11.

FIFA modified the draw for 2026 to create separate pathways to the semifinals for the four-highest ranked teams: Spain, Argentina, France and England. That means if Spain and Argentina win their groups, the world's Nos. 1 and 2 teams can not meet prior to the final.
