The North Face store on Walnut Street in Center City is closing, according to a filing with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The store, which has held its two-floored retail space at 1515 Walnut Street since 2009, will close after the holiday season on Jan. 31. The closure was first reported in the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Center City District reported that there were 513 retailers operating in Center City last month, up 15% from 2019.

After 15 years in Center City, outdoor apparel brand the North Face will close its store on Walnut Street at the end of January. Documents filed with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry show the planned shuttering by parent company VF Corp.
