U.S. stocks finished mostly lower on Tuesday, after a selloff in megacap technology names weighed on the three major indexes ahead of the Federal Reserve’s annual economic symposium in Jackson Hole, Wyo.

Investors are eager for a sense of where policymakers stand on the question of interest rate cuts after economic data this month showed they face a tricky dilemma between a weakening labor market and stubborn inflation.

Rival EV stock Tesla TSLA gave back morning gains and fell 0.5% on the stock market today. The Elon Musk-led company said it launched the six-seat Model Y L in China, with a starting price of RMB 339,000 ($47,180).
