Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde supports BJP's decision on CM post, amid speculation and alliance tensions, ahead of oath-taking ceremony.

Maharashtra caretaker CM Eknath Shinde on Sunday said that he had given his full backing for BJP-led leadership in the state, following the historic mandate given to the Mahayuti alliance by the people.

Eknath Shinde addressed speculation about his son, Shrikant Shinde, being considered for Deputy Chief Minister, saying discussions with senior leaders, including Amit Shah, were ongoing and no final decision had been made.

The new Mahayuti government is set to be sworn in on December 5 at Azad Maidan in Mumbai, Maharashtra BJP unit said.
