The Mavericks' general manager acknowledged that an arena full of fans chanting for his firing was impossible to ignore.

Nico Harrison said Monday that he underestimated the connection between the Dallas Mavericks fan base and Luka Dončić, whom Harrison traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in February for a package centered around Anthony Davis.

In his end of season presser, Nico Harrison told reporters that he knew "Luka [Dončić] was important to the fan base" but he "didn't know quite to [the] level" of the response he has gotten since the trade.
