Michigan State freshman Jase Richardson, a projected lottery pick and son of former NBA player Jason Richardson, told ESPN he is entering the 2025 NBA draft.

His father, Jason Richardson, a former Spartans star and NBA standout, helped his son gather feedback from the league to assist in the decision-making process.

Jase Richardson is following in his father’s footsteps. Michigan State basketball’s burgeoning star guard announced Tuesday on Instagram he will test the NBA draft process after a stellar freshman season under Tom Izzo.

An interesting candidate that would make a ton of sense for MSU, Gabe Dynes, a portal entrant from Youngstown State. A native of Kentucky, Dynes averaged 6.8 points and 5.8 rebounds in just over 20 minutes for the Penguins last year. A 7'3" center, the big man has a ton of potential to work with in his final two years of college.

The Michigan State basketball team is losing junior guard Tre Holloman to the transfer portal. The Spartans lost in the Elite 8 against Auburn on Sunday, and it was a tough way for Holloman to go out as he finished with two points and went 0-10 from the floor.

Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo is in the market for 2-3 ball handlers this offseason, luckily for him, one resides in his home state
