Five tornadoes touched down Sunday in Cass, Ingham, Kent, and Newaygo counties, the National Weather Service confirmed. The first one, an EF1, started at about 4:52 p.m. in Edwardsburg in Cass County, officials with the weather service's Northern Indiana office said.

At least two people are reported dead due to Sunday's severe storms along with widespread damage from strong winds and hail across Indiana.
