The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently proposed a ‘partnership formula’ or ‘fusion formula,’ a rebranded hybrid model, to address hosting concerns for the Champions Trophy 2025. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly reluctant to accept the plan.

According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, the PCB is ready to accept a hybrid model for the Champions Trophy, provided they get a written agreement from the ICC and the BCCI ensuring similar arrangements for Pakistan in future ICC events hosted by India.

There are no security threats to visiting teams in India and the tit-for-tat kind of "demand" from PCB can't be acceptable as India is set to host the 2029 Champions Trophy and co-host the 2026 T20 World Cup jointly with Sri Lanka,
