During US Teacher Appreciation Week, which is May 5-9, 2025, teachers can get food freebies, plus discounts on clothing and school supplies.

Bordewich Bray Elementary School transformed its employee entrance into a movie premiere-worthy walk, complete with a red carpet, flashing cameras, music, “Academy Award” trophies, microphone interviews and cheering students and staff.

For Teacher Appreciation Week, the agency thanked the educators driving its tablet program, which equips inmates with the knowledge and skills needed for successful reentry.
