Alex Karaban was taken to a local Maui hospital by ambulance following the UConn men’s basketball team’s loss to Dayton in the Maui Invitational Wednesday night. The Huskies’ star forward and captain went down hard as he was fouled on a layup attempt with about two and a half minutes left in the 85-67 defeat.
