Paramount isn’t slowing down its biggest blue moneymaker. The studio has officially announced a new Sonic the Hedgehog spin-off (a Sonic Universe movie) set to hit theaters on December 22, 2028.

The Sonic the Hedgehog movies have been a success for Paramount and Sega, and the pair are looking to build on that with a spin-off movie. An expansion of the Sonic cinematic universe, if you will.
