The drip-drip-drip details continue for the Asus ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X — we now know that the two handheld PCs will launch shortly before Halloween. Specifically, both the Xbox Ally and Ally X will launch on October 16 in the United States as well as key international markets in Europe,

The most notable difference between the Xbox Ally and the Steam Deck is the operating system. Like the ROG Ally, the Xbox Ally will also use Windows 11, while the Steam Deck uses Valve's SteamOS.
