Ballester worked with a wedge on and around the greens until he made the turn when Alberto Ballester (no relation) handed over his now-conforming putter. It happened just in time for a trio of Masters champions – all from Spain – to join the Arizona State senior on the 10th tee for the second nine of a lifetime.

Not only is a green jacket up for grabs at the 2025 Masters, so is a Silver Cup and a seat in Butler Cabin. Those honors will be bestowed upon the low amateur in the 89th playing of the tournament, and history suggests this crowning achievement may just be the beginning of a golfer's great career.

It's championship Saturday at Augusta National Golf Club. 32 golfers will compete to become the champion of the 2025 Augusta National Women's Amateur.
