The measles outbreak in Texas has grown to 146 cases with most infections reported among children and teenagers, according to new data released Friday.

The latest update comes two days after the first death was reported in a school-aged child who lived in the outbreak area.

Eighteen more cases of measles were reported in Gaines County, as of Friday. State officials confirmed this week an unvaccinated school-aged child died from measles in Lubbock.
