EXCLUSIVE: Apple TV+ pulled all the stops promoting the second season of its sci-fi drama Severance, with even Apple CEO Tim Cook filming an elaborate promo for the series’ return after a three-year break.

Apple TV+ have revealed that the second season of 'Severance' has become the most viewed show in its history, eclipsing 'Ted Lasso' from top spot.

According to Apple, season 1 and this half of season 2 of Severance have now just set a record for the entire streaming service.

While Severance beating out the popular Ted Lasso is impressive, it should be noted that Lasso premiered in the early days of Apple TV+, at which time the streaming service was still struggling to attract viewers. Ted Lasso is likely responsible for many of the subscribers who are currently pushing Severance to the top.
