George Russell believes he'll remain with Mercedes in 2026, even as his boss Toto Wolff continued to leave open the possibility of pursuing Max Verstappen.

Reigning F1 champion Max Verstappen could leave Red Bull ahead of next year, with reports suggesting he could replace rival George Russell at Mercedes.

Russell’s contract at Mercedes expires at the end of 2025, while Verstappen is tied to Red Bull until 2028 though team adviser Helmut Marko has previously acknowledged that all of the top drivers on the grid have agreements that contain performance-related break clauses.
