Western North Carolina is looking at some windy weather on Dec. 10 and even some possible snow. Here's the latest forecast.

Futurecast projections show that a mix of rain and snow will move in starting on Monday, Dec. 8, 2025. The earliest we could begin seeing any winter weather would be between 9 and 10 a.m. for the northern counties and near the Virginia border. Around noon, models predict snow will start to creep in to the Triangle.

A cold and wet morning commute is likely on Tuesday in the Piedmont Triad and Foothills. In the Mountains, another round of wintry mix is possible with a risk of icy travel.
