Chad Green is no longer with the organization, the Blue Jays announced on Monday. Green was under a $10.5 million contract that was his last year with Toronto, but the Blue Jays chose not to ride that deal out. They designated him for assignment, and when he cleared waivers as expected, he was released.

In 45 appearances and 43 2/3 innings for the Blue Jays this season, Green recorded a 5.56 ERA and 6.70 FIP. Opposing hitters have posted an average exit velocity of 92.3 mph and a hard-hit rate of 52.
