A man was found dead of a gunshot wound and a woman from the same street was also injured in the shooting, police say.

Officers found a woman inside a residence with gunshot wounds. Her spouse was arrested and is currently in the Killeen City Jail.

Killeen police went to do a welfare check at the 3300 block of Lakecrest Drive and discovered a 37-year-old woman shot multiple times.

On Feb. 21, at 7:16 p.m., police say officers were sent to a home in the 3300 block of Lakecrest Drive on a welfare check.

Kirtland Air Force base said the 377th Security Forces Squadron was called to an incident at approximately 2 a.m.
