The Cleveland Browns beat the Las Vegas Raiders 24-10 Sunday evening in a game that saw the two teams combine for 34 points. The Browns had a chance to add a field goal late as they had the ball at the Raiders’ 29-yard line, with a chance to make the score 27-10 in the final minutes.
Rock bottom?: “But Sunday, they truly may have reached a new low as they were completely outplayed by the Cleveland Browns in a battle of 2-8 teams in a 24-10 loss, and it was never really close, and the Raiders were beaten by double digits once again,” S&BP’s Bill Williamson wrote.
In his first career NFL start, Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders threw for 209 yards along with a touchdown and interception each. Cleveland recorded 10 sacks, the most in a game by any team over the past two seasons. Defensive end Myles Garrett accounted for three sacks himself, pushing him to 18 on the season.
Shedeur Sanders is poised for his first NFL start Sunday for the Cleveland Browns, and the anticipation in Cleveland has been through the roof. In Week 11, Sanders stepped in for an injured Dillon Gabriel against the Baltimore Ravens and completed 4 of 16 passes for 47 yards, and he was intercepted once and sacked twice in a 23-16 loss.
Neither the Colorado Buffaloes nor the Cleveland Browns are known for their success at the quarterback position, at least at the NFL level. But that didn’t matter much for Shedeur Sanders, the third-string rookie QB thrust into action following Dillon Gabriel’s concussion.
