KL Rahul was acquired by Delhi Capitals for a hefty Rs 14 crore at the IPL 2025 mega auction held in Jeddah. The 32-year-old star batsman, previously with Lucknow Super Giants, entered the auction pool after being released.

Star batter KL Rahul will play for the Delhi Capitals in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL). He fetched a massive ₹14 crore from the franchise in the mega auction. It was the first time since the IPL 2018 auction that Rahul was up for bidding.

This move strengthens Delhi Capitals' batting lineup, and KL Rahul's experience and leadership skills will likely make him the ideal captaincy choice.
