Gilbert showed he can still hang with the best and wasn't gonna be walked over, and Khamzat showed he has that DOG in him to fight through a War. Both took each other's best Shot, and kept going until the end. Crowd may have soured on Chimaev, and understandably so, but this fight was AWESOME.

Interestingly, Khamzat just did an interview where he downplayed to importance of Bo Nickals' wrestling in regards to an MMA matchup. It looks like these two are destined to meet but I think Bo needs another year of full MMA training. Khamzat spent the first 18 years of his life in w wrestling hotbed.

Mar 28, 2024 · Honestly the whole "is Khamzat a valid MW contender" debate isn't actually real so who cares lol. The whole thing is a mental gymnastic to help Khamzat haters cope. Khamzat runs through Rob in the first and afterwards people will say that a washed up Rob isn't worth the hype Khamzat has anyway.

I thought draw was correct after a 10-8 Rd 1, Khamzat did nothing with the takedown in Rd 3 and was outstruck in 2 and 3. Maybe one day we'll get some consistency with how takedowns without damage or sub attempts are scored.
