These two swords were found by metal detectorist Glenn Manning in the Cotswolds. ⚔️ The site near Willersey in Gloucestershire dates from the Iron Age to the Roman period and includes possible evidence of a Roman villa. Working with Cotswold Archaeology, who co-led the dig, we funded the excavation following the discovery of two Roman cavalry swords during a metal detecting rally in 2023. The swords are now on display at Corinium Museum in Cirencester. | Historic England
