On May 22, 1994 WCW Slamboree: A Legends Reunion took place at the Philadelphia Civic Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was the 2nd Slamboree produced by World Championship Wresrling. In the main event, Sting takes on Big Van Vader (with Harley Race) for the vacant WCW International World Heavyweight Championship. Vader was originally scheduled to wrestle Rick Rude, but Rude had to be replaced by Sting as Rude had suffered a career-ending back injury in Japan, in a match against Sting. |
